Our love for one another, and for the college that made it all possible, has never been stronger.
I wonder how many SJC grads were so in love with each other, as a result of SJC, that they were married on the SJC grounds? Lisa Ringuette (now Lisa Storer) and I chose to do exactly that, just a few years after graduating together. While we did not meet at Saint Joes, she did transfer there from UNE so that we could be closer together. We met in 1994; began our collegiate life at SJC in 1995; graduated in 1999 (she with her BSN, and I with my BS in Accounting); married on the grounds overlooking the lake in 2002. Father John performed the ceremony, and it is a day that we’ll never forget.
Fr. John was one of the most influential individuals in our lives. In 2003 he performed the baptism of our first child, also at the SJC Chapel. We now live an hour away, and come back to campus once or twice a year to remind us of where the love really started. We have three amazing children, and have started to introduce them to Saint Joseph’s, as well. Our love for one another, and for the college that made it all possible, has never been stronger.
