Issue 1 / Jan. 2016
Do you find yourself falling behind grading your quizzes or submitting your quiz grades in Brightspace? My Just(in) time training video this month focuses on setting up notifications for your quizzes in your course(s). Whenever a student completes the quiz, you will get an instant email message letting you know that a quiz has been submitted for that particular course. This can then prompt you to go in your course and either grade the quiz, or view the grade and attempt. To see how you can set up your own quiz notifications in your course, please click the tutorial (5 min.) below:
If you have any questions or comments about your setting up notifications for quizzes in your course, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org

Instructional Designer in CIDET
Matt Norcia joined Saint Joseph’s College on January 4th this year. He comes to us from the University of New England where he served six years in their Information Technology department as a Trainer and Instructional Designer. Prior to working in higher education, Matt was a consultant specializing in helping retailers to better train their employees. He also worked over a decade creating educational programs for the consumer electronics industry, as well as operated his own media company.
As an Instructional Designer, Matt will work with faculty to assist with the development and maintenance of courses in Brightspace. Matt is excited to be joining us in his new position, and hopes to contribute to the continuing success of Saint Joseph’s College, its faculty, and its students.
Matt lives in Windham with his wife and three children. In his spare time he enjoys reading, watching movies, and maintaining a blog and podcast about scary movies, which he records with his two sons.
