Upgrading Microsoft Office

Faculty and students can now upgrade their Microsoft Office applications by going through the Office 365 Portal. This means that you will no longer need the discs to upgrade your software! You can also install the office suite on up to five different machines, whether they’re on the Mac operating system, or Windows! The other benefit is that you can also use the web based version of these platforms so that if you’re on a machine that doesn’t have Microsoft Office, but does have an internet connection, you’re good to go! Simply go to http://portal.office.com to download the software, or use the online versions, now! To see how you can  download the latest version of office, please see the tutorial (6 min.) below:

If you have any questions or comments about using the Office 365 portal and upgrading your office applications, please email us at askcidet@sjcme.edu.

FACULTY / STAFF SPOTLIGHT

Jonathan Roy
Wellehan Library Public Service Associate

john

This is my first year working here at St. Joseph’s serving as the library’s Public Service Associate. I just recently graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington with my B.S. in History. The main focus of my job is to assist students with any questions they may have. If I don’t know the answer I can connect students to the people who do. I also assist with Interlibrary Loan, which means if our library doesn’t own a book or article you want, we can get it for you.

When I am not working, I spend my time with my friends and family, hiking, and enjoy watching reruns of old TV shows. Feel free to stop in the library and say hi; I am here to help.
